The Story of Tahoe Brewfest
High Altitude, Cold Brews, Good Vibes.
Welcome to the biggest craft beer celebration in South Lake Tahoe.
Tahoe Brewfest is more than just a festival; it’s a love letter to the mountain lifestyle.
Every August, we transform Ski Run Boulevard into a vibrant corridor of culture, bringing together the best craft breweries from the Lake Tahoe Basin and beyond. With the stunning backdrop of the Sierras, we combine unlimited beer tastings, live music, local artisans, and mouth-watering food trucks into one unforgettable day.
But the best part? Every sip counts.
The Mission: Brews for a Cause
We are proud to be voted Tahoe's Best Charity Event in 2025!
Tahoe Brewfest was created with a singular purpose: to support our local youth.
100% of the proceeds from the festival go directly to the Boys & Girls Club of Lake Tahoe. Since our inception, we have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to fund after-school programs, summer camps, and essential resources for kids in our community.
When you buy a ticket, sponsor a booth, or purchase a pint, you are helping provide a safe, positive place for local children to learn and grow.
The Location: Ski Run Boulevard
There is no venue quite like ours. We shut down the streets to open up the fun.
Located in the heart of South Lake Tahoe, Ski Run Boulevard offers the perfect festival footprint. Stretching from the mountain toward the lake, the street is lined with towering pines and offers plenty of room to roam. It allows us to create a block-party atmosphere that feels intimate yet energetic, with easy access to the best hotels and casinos in town.

Our Roots
From a parking lot party to a regional destination.

Tahoe Brewfest began with a simple idea: the South Lake Tahoe craft beer scene was exploding, and it deserved a celebration to match. In June of 2017, that idea became reality.
Originally hosted by Cold Water Brewery, our inaugural event took over the Swiss Chalet parking lot. It was a true community block party, bringing together the pioneers of the South Shore beer scene—Sidellis, Lake Tahoe Aleworx, South Lake Brewing, and Cold Water—alongside friends from the craft brewery scene around the area.
That first year laid the groundwork for everything we value today: it was family-friendly, community-focused, and centered on supporting the Boys & Girls Club. Since those humble parking lot beginnings, Tahoe Brewfest has grown into a massive annual tradition on Ski Run Boulevard. We have expanded from a handful of local brewers to hosting over 40 distinct breweries, cideries, and kombucha makers from across the West Coast.
Despite our growth, we have stayed true to our roots. We still prioritize local vendors, we still welcome families, and we still run on that laid-back "Tahoe Time" energy that makes our home so special—all while supporting Tahoe Youth.
