More Than Just a Sushi Beer
Asahi USA is bringing the #1 selling beer in Japan to the 2026 Tahoe Brewfest, and they're determined to prove it belongs at more than just the sushi counter. Now brewed stateside, Asahi Super Dry is coming to Ski Run Blvd with a mission: broaden the table.

Who They Are
Asahi Super Dry has been Japan's top seller since it launched in 1987 with what the brand calls a "Karakuchi" dry taste, created to meet consumer demand for something lighter and less bitter. It's also one of the fastest-growing import brands in the US. Production now happens stateside at Octopi, Asahi's US-based brewing facility in Waunakee, WI, an extremely modern operation built around high cleanliness and quality standards.
What They're Pouring
Asahi Super Dry — A crisp, clean Japanese lager with a quick finish, built to pair with just about anything on the table.

What Makes Them Tick
Ask Asahi what's driving them right now, and it comes back to the people drinking their beer. As they put it: "The US consumer and their thirst for high quality products" is what's inspiring production. In three words, they'd describe the brand as: "Quality, inspirational, Family."
What to Expect
Most people know Asahi Super Dry as the beer that shows up next to sushi, and for good reason. But Asahi wants Brewfest to change that association. "Asahi Super Dry is known as a favorite beer when consumers have sushi," they told us. "We want to show patrons of the Brewfest that Asahi Super Dry is more than just a sushi beer." With a flavor profile built for versatility, it holds its own with fish, BBQ, Mexican, Italian, and pretty much anything else on the menu.
Why Tahoe Brewfest
For Asahi, this one's about reintroducing a familiar name. As they put it: "Asahi Super Dry, more than just a sushi beer. It is one of my favorite premium import beers."
See you at their booth on August 29th. 🍺
